Graphic Designer
Location:
Virginia Beach, VA
Job Description:
IntraNexus is seeking a Graphic Designer with strong web knowledge to create graphical designs for Company communication materials and product framework for our corporate office.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two year’s related experience and/or training.
Responsibilities:
- Assist software development team in generating icons, web forms and other graphics for use in application framework.
- Apply knowledge of web and usability standards when assisting development team in screen design.
- Work with VP of Sales & Marketing to design and produce art and copy layouts for all visual communications including printed materials, collateral, signage, presentations and web sites.
- Assist in construction of build-out of new web initiatives and web redesign initiatives.
- Assist in a customer focused manner in the creation of internal and external communication materials.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of inventory on all marketing materials, logos, graphics and print files.
- Edit marketing materials for accuracy, proper grammar, syntax, style and graphics for target audience.
- Prioritize, track and maintain task sheet with regard to key elements, costs and time lines for all projects being performed.
- Suggest and implement improvements on a regular basis in all areas of graphics design and web site administrative tool functions.
- Make changes to product based on feedback from management and users.
- Ensure copy/concepts serve the purpose of selling the Company’s product/service/image first and foremost according to the strategic creative plan.
- Research Company’s products/services/image to ensure ability to create accurate, on-target concepts for assigned projects.
- Modify and implement concepts and designs originated by others to ensure quality products.
- Stay up to date on any industry-wide changes in design philosophy and any new tools and technologies being used and incorporate into web site.
- Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Database software, Design software and Internet software needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
